Die Kombination dieser drei Farben ergibt das farbige Bild. Bei \u00e4lteren Fotos verblassen diese Farbschichten jedoch nicht gleichm\u00e4ssig. Speziell bei Fotografien aus den 70er und 80er Jahren verlieren h\u00e4ufig zun\u00e4chst die blau- und gr\u00fcnempfindliche Schicht an Farbintensit\u00e4t. Hintergrund: In dieser Zeit wurden besonders schnelltrocknende Emulsionen verwendet. Erst sp\u00e4ter hat sich herausgestellt, dass diese Fotoemulsion sehr anf\u00e4llig f\u00fcr die Entwicklung des typischen Rotstichs ist.<br \/>\nRelativ h\u00e4ufig kommt es auch zu Gelbf\u00e4rbungen alter Fotografien. Diese r\u00fchren nicht vom ungleichm\u00e4ssigen Verblassen der Farbschichten her, sondern vom Bedruckstoff selbst: dem Fotopapier. Das besteht aus Holz und enth\u00e4lt daher Lignin.
